Average Preschool Day
Morning Circle:
We start each day with the
morning circle. We do our flag salutes, sing our songs, and say
our prayer. In morning circle we cover our daily topic, weather,
calendar, and what exciting things we will be doing throughout the
day. Your child will learn many new concepts, language and math
skills during circle time.
Center Time:
The children are free to
choose what center they would like to explore and learn. For
example, they might want to explore, play, and learn in the house
keeping area where they will have the opportunity to pretend to play
house, cook food, and have a great time with their friends. Centers that are available
in each classroom are;

Scope of Preschool Curriculum
Early Preschool (2 - 3 years old)
Language Arts: Develop listening skills that include colors, words,
shapes, animals, transportation, community helpers, health, safety,
and manners.
Numbers: Counting 1-25
Recognize numbers 1-25
Fine Arts: Songs, Finger plays,
Arts and Crafts: Arts and Crafts
Preschool (3 - 4 years old)
Language Arts: Recognize name, develop listening skills that include
color words, short vowels and consonants. Upper and lower case
letter recognition. Shapes, animals, transportation, community
helpers, health, safety, and manners.
Numbers: Counting 1 - 50
Recognize Numbers 1 - 50
Fine Arts: Music movement, finger play
Arts and Crafts: Arts and crafts
Pre-Kindergarten (4 - 5 years old)
Language Arts: Recognize names, letter sounds, long and short vowels
sounds, writing letter formation, writing first and last name.
Blending sounds, beginning Phonics rules, and special sounds.
Recognition of sentences by capital letters and periods.
Number: Counting 1 - 100
Writing 1 - 100
Recognition 1 - 100
Counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's
Addition facts through 10
Beginning Subtraction
Fine Arts: Music movement and finger plays.
Arts and Crafts: Arts and Crafts
All age groups will be taking part in Bible time. Memory verses and
Bible lessons like Noah, Samuel, Daniel, Jesus, Zacchaeus and The
Good Samaritan just to name a few.
